Minnesota RollerGirls featuring
Garda Belts vs. Rockits and Atomic Bombshells vs. Dagger Dolls
Saturday, February 6 at 7:30 p.m.
The Minnesota RollerGirls’ sixth season is well underway and the hard-hitting entertainment continues on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at The Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium.
The fight for the Golden Skate continues as the Minnesota RollerGirls home teams battle it out with the reigning champion Rockits facing off against the Garda Belts and the Atomic Bombshells going head-to-head with the Dagger Dolls. Fans are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite team’s colors – red for the Rockits, green for the Garda Belts, orange for the Atomic Bombshells and pink for the Dagger Dolls – to show their support.
Pre-bout happy hours will be held at O’Gara’s and Station 4, each with free parking and shuttle buses. The after party will be held at O’Gara’s in Saint Paul where fans can talk and party with the Minnesota RollerGirls and DJ Matt Perkins.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at The Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium. To help celebrate Black History Month, pre-show entertainment will be Coupé Décalé, a popular style of African dance music, and half-time entertainment will feature local Twin Cities band Idle Hands.
Special limited edition Minnesota RollerGirls t-shirts will be given away to the first 200 people in the doors. The Minnesota RollerGirls will hold their famous “black-eye booth” throughout the bout, giving fans a “black-eye” for $1 or team-themed face make-up for $2 with proceeds benefitting Foundation IX.
