The recently postponed Slayer and Megadeth show at the Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium has been rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the postponed show will be honored for the rescheduled date. Refunds may also be claimed at point of purchase. As previously scheduled, Testament will open.

The “American Carnage Tour,” featuring heavy metal giants Slayer and Megadeth with special guest Testament, will take over Saint Paul on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. at The Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium. Doors are scheduled to open at 6 p.m.

California metal legends Slayer, who have been together for an astonishing 27 years, released their latest record, “World Painted Blood,” on Nov. 3. The album sold 41,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week and debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard Top 200. The band’s previous album, "Christ Illusion," entered the Billboard charts at No. 5 when it was released in 2006.

Metal veterans Megadeth, founded by Dave Mustaine in 1983, released their 12th album, “Endgame,” on Sept. 15. It was Megadeth’s first album since 2007’s “United Abominations.” The band, consisting of Mustaine, Shawn Drover and James LoMenzo, recently added lightning-quick lead guitarist Chris Broderick.

San Francisco thrash-rockers Testament, who are due to release a new album in early 2010, will open the show.
