2010 National Poetry Slam Finals
August 7 2010

Poetry Slam is the competitive art of spoken word performance poetry. If Poetry Slam was a sport, the National Poetry Slam (NPS) would be the Olympics. Up to 84 teams from around the world travel to NPS in a different city each year for a five day festival of competitions, workshops, showcases, discussion groups, and more. 2010 will mark the 21st annual National Poetry Slam, and will bring together over 500 of the world’s best spoken word artists. NPS is the world’s largest annual Slam poetry event. It will take place in over a dozen venues throughout downtown St. Paul, MN - including the Fitzgerald Theater, The Artists’ Quarter jazz club, The McNally Smith Auditorium, and more - all culminating to team finals on Saturday, August 7 at 8 p.m. at the Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium, where the top 4 teams in the world go head to head.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. Tickets for the team finals are $25.
