Sunday, January 26 - 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
More than 200 felines representing as many as 26 breeds from the United States and Canada will compete for the title of "Best Cat" at the Saintly City Cat Club’s 38th Annual Championship Cat Show on Saturday–Sunday, January 25-26, 2014 in the Roy Wilkins Exhibition Hall. The highest scoring male and female cats from the household division will be caped and crowned King and Queen by Saint Paul Winter Carnival Royalty on Sunday afternoon.
Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for seniors (65 and over) and children (10 and under). Tickets will be available at the door. Spectators with a Saint Paul Winter Carnival button will receive a $1 discount on adult admission. A portion of show proceeds will be donated to Winn Foundation, Cornell Feline Health Center, CFA Animal Relief Fund and area Humane Societies.
Cats will be judged in four classes: kittens, championship, premiership and household pets, and will include ever-popular breeds like the Maine Coon and Persian, and lesser-known breeds such as the Korat, British Shorthair and Sphinx (hairless cat). Finalists will receive a rosette from the Saintly City Cat Club and winner points from the Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA), America’s largest organization of cat owners and breeders.
Established in 1974, the Saintly City Cat Club, Inc. is a non-profit organization and CFA member dedicated to public education and promoting feline health and welfare.
