The MNRG are unpaid professionals and donate proceeds from each bout to charity. To date, the MNRG have donated more than $76,000 to local charities and organizations. Their season long charity is the Ann Bancroft Foundation's Let Me Play Grant which funds athletic and dance equipment or participation fees for girls ages 5 through high school graduation, giving them the opportunity to be part of a team, build strength and confidence, and push themselves farther - on the field and off. Each bout, they select one worthy cause as their door charity for the evening. This bout's charity is the  Best Friends Animal Society, an organization committed to reducing shelter pet deaths to zero.

The Minnesota RollerGirls (MNRG) organization is an all-female, flat track roller derby league. Founded in August 2004 by the Donnelly sisters, the Minnesota RollerGirls are members of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), comprised of 260 leagues across the nation, in addition to 104 apprentice leagues. Every Minnesota RollerGirl is held to the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethics and good will and must adhere to rules set by the league and by WFTDA. The MNRG is governed by the skaters, for the skaters. Skaters are not paid and a portion of the proceeds raised by the league is contributed to local charities.
