Minnesota RollerGrils present SEEING STARS (April 9)

The Minnesota RollerGirls (MNRG) All-Star teams are taking on the Rocky Mountain Rollergirls of Denver, Colorado, in an intense roller derby doubleheader on Saturday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. in The Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium. The night begins with an undercard bout between the B-teams of MNRG and Rocky Mountain: the Minnesota Nice will battle the Rocky Mountain Contenders. The main event kicks off with a rare sanctioned bout between the #12 ranked Minnesota RollerGirls All-Stars and the #16 Rocky Mountain 5280 Fight Club. Don't miss your only chance in 2016 to watch Division 1 roller derby in Saint Paul!
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The first 200 fans to arrive will receive a limited edition t-shirt. Get there early for a pre-show bout featuring the junior roller derby skaters of North East Roller Derby Youth. Head down to the track at halftime for a live performance by legendary Beatles tribute band, Hard Day's Night. After the bout, join the Minnesota RollerGirls at CAMP Bar in Saint Paul for the official after party.
General admission tickets to the event are $15 and may be purchased in advance at the following locations: Ax-Man Surplus (St. Paul and St. Louis Park), Crafty Planet, Derby 4 All, Electric Fetus, Groveland Tap, HealthSource of St. Paul, Pizza Lucé (all metro locations) and St. Croix Scuba & Snorkeling. Tickets are also available through ticketmaster.com or at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium Box Office. As always, children nine and under do not need a ticket for general admission areas. Visit mnrollergirls.com for more details.
The MNRG are unpaid professionals and donate proceeds from each bout to charity. To date, the MNRG have donated more than $91,000 to local charities and organizations since 2004. They are proud to donate a portion of monetary proceeds from this bout to the Ann Bancroft Foundation. The Ann Bancroft Foundation and its donors fund the Let Me Play sports and fitness grants, which increase girls' participation in sport and organized fitness activity by eliminating cost as a barrier.

The Minnesota RollerGirls organization is an all-female, flat track roller derby league. Founded in August 2004 by the Donnelly sisters, the Minnesota RollerGirls are members of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).
