The Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium and Jam Productions announced today that My Bloody Valentine will make a stop in Saint Paul on Friday, Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium Box Office, Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, charge by phone at 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
The return of My Bloody Valentine marks their first Twin Cities appearance since 1992. The highly anticipated tour features original members – Kevin Shields, Colm O’Ciosoig, Bilinda Butcher & Deb Googe.
My Bloody Valentine formed in Dublin in 1984 but was based out of London. The band received critical praise in the early 90’s by releasing a string of albums - Isn’t Anything, Glider (ep), Loveless – that brought together distorted guitars, digital reverb and fierce melody that when combined formed their unmistakable musical wall of sound. Their songs set the bar for emerging alternative rock acts of the era and they are often cited as an influential source for some of today’s top rock bands.
After a very long wait, My Bloody Valentine released their third album earlier this year titled “mbv.” This marked the band’s first new record in 22 years thrilling their fans around the globe. Get ready for an incredible evening with My Bloody Valentine in what promises to be a highlight of the fall concert season!
